How to Visit:
The Four Seasons Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel in Sydney’s Central Business District. Besides the Four Seasons’ premium brand reputation, this particular hotel doesn’t leave much, if anything, to be desired. This Four Seasons offers comfort, friendly staff, great service, reasonable pricing, an incredible location, excellent amenities, and breathtaking views if you choose the right room. When exploring this hotel, it’s noticeable that it’s an older building, but it doesn’t matter because it’s very well taken care of.
Here we are! We walked from the cruise port to the Four Seasons Hotel. It was a 5-minute walk. The train station is directly across from the hotel. Let’s see if we can check in over here. Alright, we just checked into the Four Seasons—easy peasy check-in. Let’s go get on our elevator. Our room is available; we just got off the ship. Let’s check this hotel out. Oh, the elevator’s available. Look at these buttons, huh? Oh, Andrea almost didn’t make it; she’s struggling, sitting there and watching. Yeah, I’m good like that.
Personal Experience let’s start:
Hi guys, welcome back to my website. In today’s blog, I’m going to review the Four Seasons Hotel, just right over there. We’re going to check in now. We’ve already checked in, and our room number is 1819. Just remember, the first thing you need to check is the evacuation diagram, just in case any emergency happens. Our room is right here. Our room has been upgraded to a partial harbor view room. We’re going to show you the view later. The bathroom gives me a feeling of a Japanese hotel because it’s quite tiny and tight.
This was my first time patronizing the Four Seasons brand. Although it’s not my best experience with a hotel, it was an excellent one, and my experience here will make me continue with this brand in the future whenever possible. What attracts me to this hotel and makes me give it such a good review are the location, the friendly staff, the comfort, and the views of the iconic Sydney Harbor.
The staff is very friendly, and although it is a small gesture, I appreciate that when there is even a slight wait, staff will acknowledge customers and offer something as simple as water. I was also offered a complimentary bottle of wine or chocolates for the inconvenience at check-in.
The Four Seasons bed is probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. I’m even considering buying a mattress from their official website. The pillows were exceptionally soft, and the sheets were delicate and cool. While I was here at this hotel for only one night, the views made it worth the visit.
If you book, you must make sure that you book a full or partial harbor room view, regardless of the room type. A side note, and something that I think is important: I arrived early in the day, maybe around 11:00 a.m., and check-in wasn’t until 3:00 p.m., so the room was not ready yet. However, I was allowed to check in and wait for the room to be ready while I explored the city. The hotel sent me a text when my room was ready, which was still much earlier than 3:00 p.m.
check-in time. I give this hotel a 9 out of 10 and highly recommend staying here.
As with the room:
On my left-hand side, there’s a very small bathtub. I’m pretty sure it can fit me because I’m quite short, lol. After all, it’s SMALL. Then, on this side, we’ve got some clean towels and two bath towels at the bottom. Over the basin, we have another soap. This is body lotion. There are two clean toothbrush glasses. Those are cotton buds and cotton swabs. Then we’ve got two hand towels and one shower cap. A tissue box is here.
Then, on the left side, we’ve got this separate shower room. We’ve got an overhead shower head, shampoo, shower gel, and hair conditioner. They are all from the same brand, Christian Lacroix. A very small and clean toilet is over there.
In the wardrobe, over the top, we’ve got some space for storage. One bathrobe is right here. There’s an iron and an ironing board—pretty standard. For this one, we’ve got more space for storage, a little safe down here, laundry bags, and complimentary shoe shine.
They’ve prepared two pairs of slippers for us. They have two different colors: one is larger, and the other one is smaller. If you turn to the other side, you can see they’ve marked the size there.
We’ve got a large in-wall LG TV. The minibar has some decorations over the top. On the second level, we’ve got many glasses and some alcohol. Then we’ve got two bottles of water. This is the bar menu.
The welcome gifts include a kettle and a Nespresso machine. They have paid attention to details. The water tank is filled with water. Those are coffee mugs, milk, coffee capsules, a bottle opener, and two spoons. We’ve got those French handcrafted teas: chamomile, English breakfast, and drinking chocolate.
To be honest, I haven’t seen other hotels providing drinking chocolate before. There are some snacks, an ice bucket, and two mugs. A little fridge is filled with different kinds of drinks—water, juices, beer, etc. I’m very impressed.
This is the only hotel (I’ve ever stayed at) since COVID-19 that offers this sanitizing bag. It’s in a zip bag. Let’s see what we have here: two sanitizing wipes, a hand sanitizer, and two face masks.
This is our king-size bed. On the left-hand side, we’ve got this side table. For this control panel, we can turn on the Do Not Disturb option. From here, we can adjust the light.
There’s a Bose speaker, a bottle of water, and a remote control. Down here, we’ve got this hotel emergency information. Look at this pillow. It is very, very soft.
On the other side, we’ve also got this control panel and a USB socket, one bottle of water, and this is the telephone.
What to do things
This is the Four Seasons Hotel personalized tablet. Through this tablet, we can check the amenities and make requests. This is really good—they’ve provided adapters, postcards, envelopes with the Four Seasons Hotel logo and address on them, and some paper. I couldn’t find the pen in the drawer; it’s missing. This is our partial harbor view.
Now, we’re going to the GRAIN bar for our dinner. I’ve made myself a cup of chamomile tea.
I want to share my feelings about staying at the Four Seasons Hotel so far. I’m going to start with the check-in process. To be honest, I felt welcomed in this hotel!
We’ve stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel before, and our previous stay was recognized when we checked in. They said, “WELCOME BACK!”
Just that simple “Welcome back” made us feel so different. Also, they recognized that we booked the hotel through the FHR program, which was great because we didn’t have to ask for those benefits—they told us beforehand.
Morning! We’re going to MODE Kitchen and Bar for breakfast. The breakfast buffet opens from 6:30–10:30 a.m. from Monday to Friday and 6:30–11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
I’m having a large long black, hopefully, to wake me up very soon, as I’m still very sleepy. Just letting you know, I have an upcoming stay at the Park Hyatt Melbourne.
I’ve just checked into the Hyatt app on my phone, and I noticed that my room has been upgraded. How exciting! If you want to know which room and what room type we’ve upgraded to, please don’t forget to follow my Instagram.
We’re going to check out very soon. Before we check out, we just want to summarize the highlights and lowlights of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney.
Facilities:
It has over 500 rooms across 34 floors. The first three floors are dedicated to common areas, which include:
- Gym with a sauna.
- Locker rooms.
- Showers.
- Spa.
- Swimming Pool.
- Restaurant.
- Meeting rooms.
- Business center.
- Conference space.
- Bar/lounge.
It comes with everything you’d expect when you book a stay at the Four Seasons or any luxury hotel. It offers 24-hour room service, concierge service, complimentary Wi-Fi, bellhop services, romance services, wedding services, and much more.
Facilities:
I want to say the top one is their service. Their service is really good. They’ve paid so much attention to detail, and I felt welcomed. I feel so good here. From check-in to room service and breakfast, everything is perfect.
The second thing I want to mention is their GRAIN bar. It is fantastic. If you don’t have the chance to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel, I highly recommend coming to their GRAIN bar. Order their signature cocktail, chat, and chill out. It is so good! I love it.
The third thing is the breakfast buffet. It is so good! The only lowlight I can think of is that their room is a bit small compared to other luxury hotels. As a luxury hotel, their room is quite narrow, and the bathroom is really small.
I’m looking forward to staying at Four Seasons Hotels all around the world. I’ll see you soon! Bye-bye.
